Refined

Refined

On that day when my walls collapsed to rubble, like those of Jericho. I stood amidst the debris, and felt a sense of gentle peace come upon me. Anxiety came like a cloud, but when you are among ruins, all you need to do is run back home. The peace was steadfast, and it was a mystery to me. In the midst of the chaos I could hear your voice, I could hear you in my friends laugher, I could see your grace in the watercolor sunsets and I was reminded of your love in the luminescence of the moon. All I know is that in the chaos of so many changes in my life, all I want to do is come back to you, run back to you. I am done trying to trust my own hands to pick me up when I fall, I am not able to do it on my own. I need the hands of my father, you have been shaping my life, writing my story since the beginning, you know what you have for me, I will trust you, I will abide. So mold me, refine me, show me who you want me to be. I will return to you like the waves retrieve to the beach. There is so much change, so much growing left to do, and when I am tired, I will rest in your arms, take a breathe and know that you are good and so is your plan.
